JAX:
“Katie!” I yelled as she bit my neck and started laughing at her.
“What?” She pulled back innocently before reaching up and kissing me again.
“I’m at work.” I laughed pulling her closer to me. We were upstairs in the office. It was private but it wasn’t that private, didn’t stop me from coming up here from time to time when I couldn’t go all the way to my apartment.
“You’re always at work.” she winked and got down on her knees unbuckling my belt. Watching her pull my cock out and suck my dick was so hot. Katie always tried to leave me with something to remember her by. She lived in Atlanta and every couple months would come up here for business and for those two or three days I fucked her like a porn star. Then she would leave and be out of sight out of mind. It’d been like for us for a while, she was just like me I knew she was living it up in Atlanta not thinking about me either. We didn’t even talk when she was gone but I would get excited when she’d pop into the bar every few months.
“Fuck Katie!” I yelled blowing my load down her throat. She stared right into my eyes and wiped her lips.
“I gotta head back to Atlanta.” she said, smiling up at me. Offering her my hand she stood up and started grabbing her things.
I met Katie in college and she moved to Atlanta right after we graduated. She was the most steady thing I had but wasn’t a girlfriend. When she was gone we did whatever we wanted. I didn’t do relationships but Katie was my only repeat.
“Drive safe.” I gave her one last kiss before leaving the office and walking down the stairs with her.
“Jax?” she asked, pulling my hand back into her. She looked like she was working up the courage to tell me something.
“Hey Katie!” Spencer yelled running by us with a case of booze from the backroom.
“Hey Spence.” She sighed, losing all her courage. She looked down still holding my hand.
“Hey,” I lifted her chin towards me and gave her a kiss. “You can tell me anything.”
“I know. I’ll catch you later.” she patted my chest and headed out to her car. Should I have pressed harder? Maybe. I cared about Katie but at the end of the day she was still just a fuck. I wasn’t going to force her to talk to me. I texted her anyway.
Drive safe.
Always do. I’ll be back in a few weeks, maybe we can talk.
Sure. See you then.
“Katie leave?” Spencer asked as I headed behind the bar to prep for our first weekend of Summer. It was still May but a lot of colleges were done and we started to get busy early.
“Yeah she was weird this time but I’ll figure out why in a couple weeks.” I shrugged.
“She’s in love with you, idiot.” Spencer laughed at me.
“Please. She’s a bigger player than me.” I rolled my eyes.
“Whatever you say bro. Ready for Tourist Season?” Spencer was my best friend. College roommates and we were both on the baseball team and now we worked together at The Cedar, the best bar in Cedar Creek. Our downtown area was planned out where all the bars were on the same block and most of us shared a parking lot. It made bar hopping easier. We were right across from the beach and we were an affordable resort type town. We also had a pretty decent crowd from the other side of town when they got tired of their country club. And there were always a few girls hanging out to the end of our shifts seeing if we would take them home. I almost always did but I wasn’t sure if that’s what I wanted this year.
“Maybe I’ll skip the Tourist Fest this year.”
“Seriously?” He asked in disbelief. “Gonna wife up Katie?”
“No. Hell no. But I guess I’m just getting old or something. I’m over the sleazy girls falling all over me. It’s too easy.” I shrugged.
“Yes. How hard it must be to be attractive and have the hottest girls in the south wanting you. Poor Jax.” He said sarcastically.
“It truly is a struggle to be this good looking.” I winked grabbing more bar glasses to shine.
“So, what? You want to find a girlfriend or something?”
“No. Maybe. I don’t know, it’s not like I have anyone in mind. I just don’t think it’s fun to wake up to a different girl every night whose name I can’t remember. I want to be taken more seriously if I buy this place.”
“Never thought I’d hear you say that bro.”
“Me neither.”
I’d never had a problem getting girls, but I never wanted them more than a good time. During the school year, I had the sorority girls to flirt with. They’d come down here and over tip and all I really had to do was smile and wear a tight t-shirt. During the summer when they pretended to be the nice girls their families thought they were, we got the tourists. Our tourism really spiked during summer, a resort town people could afford, as my boss would say. We usually had a band, hot bartenders, and drew in a huge crowd. It was easy to make a living, and not be lonely. I was just bored of the game, it was always the same.
